We have a full-time opening for a
Resource Worker in our Northern Employment Solutions program. The
Resource Worker has the overall responsibility of providing job
search supports to the program participants and program coordination
support to the Program Coordinators.
Qualifications and skills required:
Undergraduate degree preferably in
the field of social services, employment counsellor training or
equivalent combined experience, certification, education, and
training.
Strong knowledge base, training
and experience in providing supports to individuals living with
cognitive disabilities.
Experience in working in the field
of employment services and/or providing supports to marginalized
individuals.
Experience in managing a client
case-load.
Experience working in the
non-profit social services sector.
Strong knowledge of computer
programs and systems (i.e. MS Office programs including Word &
Excel).
Possess strong leadership,
communication, networking and facilitation skills.
Strong written and verbal
communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work
well independently, as well as within a team.
Highly organized and able to
multi-task.
Courteous and prompt.
Excellent professional and
organizational skills.

materials, families, and staff.
