Overview of the Resource Centre The Resource Centre offers services to people of all ages including families, professionals, caregivers and the members of the community. The Resource Centre is concentrating efforts in the continued development of training and supports to provide resources, reference materials, and education for community service providers, professionals and caregivers. You do not require a referral to access the programs and facilities. A need has been identified for the development of better interpersonal communication, strategies, presentation and facilitation skills, for those challenged individuals with serious Invisible Disabilities such as FASD and NAS. Therefore, the development of Strategies, Interventions, Community Development, Training, Internet Research Facilities, and Workshops utilizing current information, in an easy to understand and replicable manner, is the focus and mandate of the NFHS Resource Centre. All our resources are now catalogued. We believe it is the right of all people to access information, obtain resources and have support within our community and to be treated with dignity and respect in accessing these services. The Northern Family Health Society hosts a Community Access Computers site (CAP Sites), funded by Industry Canada, for the use and connectivity of all citizens of Canada. Centre staff and volunteers are trained in their use and are available to help, should you require assistance as a first time Internet user or help to find a specific site. Need to do a quick job search or check your email? Or maybe you need to create a new email address...come in and use our computers. The hours for the CAP Site are Monday to Friday - 9:00 to 4:00 pm.
